Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a
web page in a search engine's unpaid results - often referred to as "natural", "organic", or
"earned" results.
The purpose of SEO is to improve the rank of a website in search engines, and thereby
increase traffic and visitor numbers. This whole process can be divided into three main
tasks:
1. On-page factors: this includes making sure that your site content is well written,
relevant, unique, and error-free. It also includes the technical task of making sure that
your site has good coding standards
2. Off-page factors: this involves attracting links from other websites
3. Keyword research for your website: this involves analyzing keyword phrases you want to
target
